Health Safety Card
Red and Green “Health Safety Cards” give holders treatment at very low cost, encouraging patients — especially in rural areas — to seek care early rather than waiting until a disease becomes chronic.
Free cataract operation
Cataracts mostly affect senior members of the community and can be treated with a single operation. Camps have already served more than 200 patients, restoring their vision.
Vaginal prolapse camp
Pelvic floor dysfunction affects more than 50% of women over 55, and is often concealed and left untreated in Bangladesh. PAHMC has provided free treatment to around 100 patients.
Club-foot camp
In partnership with Colin Macfarlane, Director of the Glancoe Foundation, twenty children with club-foot deformity were successfully treated.
Cleft lip & cleft palate
A free cleft lip operation camp was arranged for marginal communities who often lack the awareness or means to treat these highly treatable conditions.
Seminar on autism & its management
Held 15 June 2015 at PAHMC, with a keynote by Dr. Sultana Jahan (University of Missouri, USA) followed by one-to-one sessions with autistic patients, raising local awareness of the condition.
