A non-profit hospital managed by Abdul Halim Khan Foundation, dedicated to assisting the poor, the sick, and the uneducated — with hospital profits allocated toward the service of the poor.
PAHMCH started its journey on 20th December 2014 with a 250-bed hospital, and completed the first two floors of the hospital building in August 2017. From its inception, the hospital has conducted various social services to help deprived people — providing free treatment to hundreds of patients for cataract, cleft-lip & palate, vaginal prolapse, and club-foot.
The PAHMCH also serves as the teaching hospital for students of the College, co-located on the same campus.
PAHMCH has inaugurated a modern Dialysis Centre — the first such facility in Kishoreganj. Previously, patients had to travel to big cities to access this service.
In a short span of time, the hospital has incorporated three fully-equipped operation theatres, with modern medical & surgical services expanding phase by phase.
Renowned specialists from Dhaka and Kishoreganj attend the outdoor unit, bringing specialist-level care closer to the community.
A dedicated 24-hour emergency unit ensures patients from Karimganj and the surrounding Haor districts can access urgent care at any hour.
There is an acute crisis of doctors at the upazila health complexes of Mithamoin and Itna — most don’t even have the minimum number of doctors, let alone specialists. PAHMCH’s location is ideally suited to fill this gap, connected to the adjoining areas through Chamta Bondor (port).
People from Mithamoin and Itna can easily reach the hospital via Chamta Bondor.
